Beginners and mixed-ability Hatha Yoga classes take place weekly in Roscommon Town.

Stand alone workshops for restorative yoga and guided meditation are available . Dates to be decided and will be advertised.

Anna Maria trained as a yoga teacher with Noeleen Tyrell at ArdNahoo yoga school, Dromahair ,co. Leitrim. She follows the principals of Anusara Yoga, where the physical and mental bodies are striving to be in optimum alignment when practicing.

“As a therapist I was drawn to the Anusara method of teaching with its strong emphasis on correct physical alignment when practicing Asana. I practice yoga daily, sometimes an hour more days 20 minutes! Yoga helps keep it all together for me. It brings about a connection and a sense of balance within.”

The weekly class consists of physical poses “asana”, which improves strength, balance and flexibility; breathing techniques, meditation and how best to live a practical yoga lifestyle are all part of a yoga class.  Combining the physical practice with focused breathing and a mindfull connection to the movement makes Yoga what it is, and stands apart from all other physical exercise classes. Yoga has lasted the test of time; it’s on the earth for 1000s of years!.

Restorative yoga and Meditation are gifts to the mind and body. It brings stillness to the body and calmness to the mind.

I look for the good in everybody who attends class. I teach to the ability of the students while advancing at a pace that is achievable and enjoyable.
